    Learning and Development department of Human Resources for Atria Senior Living. The position will be located in Louisville, Kentucky as a hybrid position (3 days in office-2 remote). 

    The Instructional Designer contributes to organizational learning and performance improvement by consulting with key stakeholders to assess knowledge, skill, or performance gaps; collaborating with Instructional Design, Facilitation, and Curriculum Development team members to identify and implement appropriate interventions; and evaluating outcomes to drive continuous improvement. In addition, the Instructional Designer designs and develops training content and performance support materials, utilizing appropriate technology. The Instructional Designer successfully handles multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, keeping information and materials organized and staying focused on key priorities.

    • Partner with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and define learning and/or performance objectives.
    • Communicate effectively and build rapport with the project team. Facilitate project meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders.
    • Establish milestones and deadlines and manage focus time to keep projects on schedule.
    • Apply adult learning theory to ensure materials meet learning objectives in an engaging and memorable way.
    • Write and edit scripts; record, produce and edit video, screencasts, and audio for use in training materials.
    • Research internal systems, tools, and processes to create and validate training content and support alignment throughout the organization.
    • Measure learning and/or performance outcomes to evaluate project success and drive continuous improvement.
    • Revise new and existing content based upon feedback acquired through internal review processes. Observe and offer feedback on instructor-led training, and participate in the review process for Curriculum Development materials.
    • Ensure messaging and imagery are aligned with the Company’s vision and values.
    • Assist with the testing and deployment of new technology and content delivery methods.
    • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • Two (2) or more years of experience in a Learning and Development role, Instructional Design or training materials development preferred.
    • Project management experience preferred.
    • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or equivalent.
    • Proficiency in graphics creation and editing (Adobe Photoshop), audio recording and editing (Adobe Audition or equivalent), and video editing (Camtasia and/or Adobe Premiere).
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong knowledge of eLearning standards and Adult Learning Theory.
    • Must have or be willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine, subject to legal requirements.
