Do your training classes need some pizzazz to enhance involvement?  Want to know how to turn boring or dry subjects into classes people are talking enthusiastically about?

Have you ever wanted to know how to get high evaluation score for your training classes? Want to stretch yourself as a trainer and learn how to have real impact on a class?

Join ASTD Kentuckiana as they present: “How to Create & Conduct High Impact Interactive Exercises.”  Your presenter, Dr. Jimmy A. Nelson, will take the group through two examples of high impact Interactive Exercises and then challenge your small group to create one of your own!  Jimmy will outline how using the 4 Gs will ensure that your interactive exercise experience is successful – for your class.

Learn the tricks and the tips for making your next presentation or class an experience people will be taking about – and leave them wanting more.

Networking begins at 4:30. Presentation begins at 5:00.

After achieving his Bachelors Degree in Biology & Chemistry, Jimmy held several technical & management positions in the paint industry.  At the age of 32, he had an epiphany at 2 a.m. in a paint mix room – He no longer wanted to deal with paint, but wanted to inspire people.  Dr. Jimmy, as he is known by friends, has now been a Learning & Organizational Development professional for over 20 years.

He holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Development & Training, a Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology, has taught as an adjunct instructor for several universities, is a "retired" Dale Carnegie® instructor, is an experienced Franklin Covey® Instructor and achieved his CPLP Certification in 2010.

He published his first book: "Eat Your Green Peppers", in February 2005, has implemented his unique style of organizational learning & development processes in a wide variety of organizations, as both a consultant and organizational leader, and is a published authority on Conflict Resolution.

Dr. Jimmy is an expert in Organizational Culture, Talent Management Systems, Corporate University Processes, Coaching & Leadership, Conflict Resolution, and Advanced Teambuilding.  Dr. Jimmy relishes his involvement with two ASTD Chapters and his service on the Board of both – now as president of the Kentuckiana Chapter.  In his personal life, he enjoys hiking, long walks by the ocean, boating, Geocaching, and especially travel abroad.
