Making Big Things Happen with Global Learning at Yum!

This session will be facilitated by Rob Lauber

Summary of Session:

Organizations may be global, but people are local. That's why launching a new operation in a new country undefined whether it's a localized product, service or restaurant franchise undefined requires the right mixture of speed, efficiency and understanding of what's important to specific brands and geographies. But how does an organization headquartered in North America ensure employee success overseas?

David C. Novak, CEO of Yum! Brands, is recognized as one of the best-performing CEOs by the Harvard Business Review and is a leading authority on leadership development. He has been a big supporter of building a world-class global learning environment at Yum! Brands.

In this session, join Rob Lauber, vice president of Yum! University at Yum! Brands, as he shares some of the details about how Yum! Brands built a global learning infrastructure that supports more than 600,000 learners across multiple restaurant brands in 21 languages for 26,000 stores.

This session will:

  • Discuss how Yum! leveraged technology to reach its globalized workforce with greater consistency, speed and efficiency
  • Offer insights on learning strategies and lessons learned that have helped to make big things happen at Yum! when it comes to improving employee retention, accelerating product training
