Chickenopoly at KFC

Presentation delivered by: Rachel Donley (Senior Instructional Designer) and Jennifer Platt (Learning Excellence)

At KFC they feel the Guest experience will never exceed their Team Member experience. In turn, that is why they have developed a blended learning solution focused on employee engagement and great Guest service. Rachel Donley and Jennifer Platt, from KFC Learning Excellence, will share the key components of KFC's Winning Restaurant Culture initiative that was launched to over 4500 restaurants in 2014. The initiative included a board game (Chickenopoly) and a Guest-focused curriculum (Service Mastery) that delivers an immersive, engaging, and fun learning experience.The Brandon Hall award-winning Service Mastery curriculum comprises of engaging eLearning, online simulations, and a multi-level online capstone game. 

During this session, Rachel and Jennifer will take you through the journey, share lessons learned along the way, and the impact of this initiative on business results!

About the Speakers:

Rachel is a Senior Instructional Designer leading curriculum development for 4500+ KFC restaurants in the US. Her work on the Service Mastery curriculum has been featured at the Learning 2014 Massie conference and recognized by several industry awards, including a Gold Brandon Hall award for Best Use of Games and Simulations in Learning. She holds a Master of Education in Learning Design from Bowling Green State University.

Jennifer has worked in the training and development field for 16 years as a training facilitator, instructional designer, eLearning development and training manager. She currently leads training and design and learning technology to support the training needs for 4500+ KFC restaurants in the US. Prior to KFC she has worked in a variety of training development roles at Yum! Brands, Papa John's, and UPS. She holds a Master of Science in Social Work and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development from the University of Louisville.
