September Chapter Meeting

Presentation Summary:

We are going to delve into the world of PechaKucha, having our first ever PechaKucha Smackdown with two of our board members, Eric Brown and Whitney Bishop. You will be selecting the winner!!

PechaKucha, meaning chitchat in Japanese, is a presentation concept that has been around since the first PechaKucha night held in February 2003. The method is described as 20x20; in other words the presenter has exactly 20 slides with a duration of 20 seconds each for a total time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. What this does is force the presenter to organize the presentation with extreme clarity and brevity while not trying to cover too much in one presentation.

This not so new concept becomes critical as we re-think how we produce training for social media. While we all know chunking works best for cognition, PechaKucha takes this to another level.
